The Russian market of fuel pellets (pellets) in 2015 demonstrated a steady growth in production and export volumes, having increased by 100,000 tons / year. This trend continues in the pellet market, despite a number of crisis phenomena in the economy. The majority of Russian companies engaged in the export of products in 2015 had no problems with sales, despite the warm winter in Europe. This is due to the presence of long-term contracts with those manufacturers that have been operating in the market over the past few years. At the same time, in connection with the devaluation of the ruble against the euro, in 2015, those companies that previously were logically unprofitable to sell their products abroad became involved in the export of wood pellets. In the second half of 2015, 157 Russian pellet manufacturers participated in the export of products. Domestic manufacturers actively receive European certificates EN plus and SPB and enter new markets.
